Ingredients
  

  • 200 g baked or smoked salmon (1 cup)
  • 3 small cucumbers or 1 large cucumber (1 1/4 cups)
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 100 g capers, drained (1/3 cup)
  • 1 medium avocado
  • 4-5 tbsp mayonnaise
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Salmon: If using baked salmon, flake it into bite-sized pieces. If using smoked salmon, cut it into strips.
  • Cucumber: Slice the cucumbers into thin rounds or half-moons.
  • Red Onion: Peel and thinly slice the red onion.
  • Avocado: Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and dice the flesh into cubes.
  • Capers: Drain the capers and set them aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cucumber slices, red onion, diced avocado, and capers. Gently fold in the flaked or sliced salmon, being careful not to mash the avocado too much. Add mayonnaise.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
