Homemade Burgers
Create restaurant-quality burgers at home with this easy recipe. Seasoned beef patties, melted cheese, caramelized onions, fresh veggies, and a tangy sauce come together between soft burger buns for the ultimate burger experience.
Ingredients
- 250 g ground beef (0.5 lbs)
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slice pickles
- 1 onion
- 4 slice burger cheese
- 1 tomato
- 4 salad leaves
- 60 g mayonnaise (1/4 cup)
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
Instructions
- Prepare the Burger Patties: In a mixing bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Divide the beef into patties, shaping them into rounds slightly larger than your burger buns (they will shrink when cooked). Use your thumb to make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking. Heat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness. Add cheese slices on top of the patties during the last minute of cooking to melt.
- Prepare the Hamburger Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard until well combined.
- Assemble the Burgers: Slice the burger buns in half and lightly toast them if desired. Spread a generous amount of the hamburger sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Layer the cooked beef patty with melted cheese on top of the sauce. Add caramelized onions, sliced pickles, tomato slices, and salad leaves. Top with the other half of the bun.Enjoy!
