Ingredients
- 250 g pasta (any short variety like penne or rotini) (about 2 cups)
- 3 sticks celery finely chopped (about 1 cup)
- 2 cans tuna, drained (each can is about 5 oz or 140g)
- 1 medium bell pepper, chopped
- 1 medium red onion, finely chopped
- 200g sour cream (about 3/4 cup)
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 50g peas (fresh or frozen) (about 1/3 cup)
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water to cool it down quickly.
- While the pasta is cooling, chop the celery, bell pepper, and red onion into small, bite-sized pieces. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta, chopped celery, bell pepper, red onion, and drained tuna.
- Add sour cream and mayonnaise and gently toss until everything is evenly coated.
- For best results, cover and refrigerate the salad for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together. Serve cold.
