Chicken Soup
This chicken soup recipe uses basic ingredients like chicken drumsticks, root vegetables, and spices to create a hearty and delicious soup. The chicken is simmered in water with turnip, carrots, potatoes, leek, and paprika until tender. Ingredients
- 2 chicken drumsticks
- 2 litres water
- 2 carrots
- 5 potatoes
- 1 leek
- handful of parsley
- salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: Sour cream to serve
Instructions
- Wash the chicken pieces and boil them in cold water. Boil on low heat for one hour and constantly skim off the foam. Take out the finished chicken pieces, remove the meat from the bones and chop.
- Boil chopped vegetables in chicken stock for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Shortly before the end of cooking, put the chicken pieces back in and sprinkle chopped parsley on top of the soup.
